Cluses

Cluses is located in the Arve Valley, and is a suburb of Bonneville and is the administrative center of the district of Cluses. Its inhabitants are called « clusiens » and « clusiennes ». This town is in Haute Savoie, and is the home of metal-working industry.

With an altitude between 470 and 1175 meters, Cluses extends for more than 1000 hectares. Cluses is halfway between Geneva and Chamonix and 65km from Annecy, 39km from Annemasse and 45km from Geneva and Chamonix.

The towns that border Cluses are Saint-Sigismond, Châtillon-sur-Cluses, Scionzier , Nancy-sur-Cluses, Magland, Thyez and Arâches-la-Frasse.

The Arve river (same name as the valley) runs through the town and it is twinned with Trossingen in Germany and Beaverton in the United Sates.
