Every year, from mid-February to mid-March, the Cinémino Festival takes place, an event specially designed for children. This festival offers the opportunity to discover a variety of films screened in several locations, including Annecy, Seynod, and Cran-Gevrier.
The Cinémino Programming
The programming of the Cinémino Festival is rich and varied, including cartoons, computer-generated images, films, and documentaries aimed at children aged 2 to 10 years. These works mainly come from recent film productions and may even include premieres. The festival lasts for five weeks and encourages meetings between the young audience and film teams. Today, more than fifty films are presented, attracting many parents in search of age-appropriate films for their children.
Since its launch in 2002, the Cinémino Festival has become a must-see in Annecy and Haute-Savoie, attracting an increasingly large audience each year, particularly young film enthusiasts and their families. Depending on the year, between 35,000 and 40,000 admissions are recorded over the 5 weeks.
The Cinémino Activities
During the festival, many activities are also organized alongside the screenings. Children can participate in debates, readings, storytelling, exhibitions, creative workshops, raffles, quizzes… The establishment of “ciné-snacks” allows for a time of exchange between children and the creators of the works.

Mobile Screen Point
The Mobile Screen, managed by the Departmental Cinema Promotion Center (CDPC), aims to make cinema accessible to all, especially for those living far from traditional cinemas. This project is aimed at everyone, regardless of age or place of residence. Praised for its quality, the Mobile Screen has received the Art and Essay label, with special recognition for its offerings aimed at children and young people. During the Cinémino Festival and in the Annecy region, you can find screenings in several locations.

The Prices for Cinémino
For cinemas located around the Annecy basin, including those in Cran-Gevrier, Annecy, Thorens-Glières, Seynod, and Meythet, the price is set at €5 each year. This affordable price aims to allow a wide audience to enjoy cinema screenings.
A family subscription ticket for Cinémino is also offered at €4. This particularly advantageous subscription remains valid for children even after the festival, in the following locations: The Turbine in Cran-Gevrier, the Novel cinema, the Auditorium in Seynod, and the cinema Le Rabelais in Meythet.

The 2025 Edition of Cinémino
The Cinémino festival returns to Annecy for its 24th edition, from February 15 to March 16, 2025. This new edition will take place in several iconic venues around the lake, including Le Rabelais in Meythet, La Turbine in Cran-Gevrier, the Mikao in Annecy, and the Auditorium in Seynod.
On the program, a rich and varied selection of short, medium, and feature-length animated films, screened at different times of the day throughout the week. Among the highlight films of this year, you will be able to (re)discover classics and new releases such as Bambi, The Wild Robot, Moana 2, Paddington in Peru, and Mufasa: The Lion King.
Many premieres will also punctuate the event, allowing budding film enthusiasts to access exclusive screenings. In total, 29 films will make up this new edition.
Partner venues will also offer a range of activities and meetings to enrich the experience: fun workshops, exchanges with directors, producers, or puppeteers, and even ciné-snacks to share a friendly moment with family.

The Previous Editions
The 2024 Edition
The 23rd edition of the Cinémino festival took place from February 10 to March 10, 2024, in a more condensed format than in previous years. Over 4 weeks, 27 films were screened across 350 sessions.
The event was also marked by several meetings with film professionals, including documentary filmmaker Jean-Michel Bertrand, producer Ilan Urroz, and set designer-colorist Ludo Gavillet. The festival also offered various activities: Philomino, a workshop to develop critical thinking, The Viewer’s Workshop, to better understand cinema, and an exhibition dedicated to Jean-François Laguionie.
The 2023 Edition
During this edition, which took place from January 28 to March 5, 2023, 33 films, including several premieres, were screened, offering a varied program that captivated both children and adults.
With over 450 sessions and 22,000 admissions, the festival offered a diverse selection: films for toddlers from 3 years old, animated and fictional works from around the world, mainstream productions, classics of Japanese cinema, as well as heritage and discovery films. Enough to satisfy all film lovers!
The 2022 Edition
This edition of the Cinémino Festival was particularly anticipated after previous cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It presented around thirty films, with 18,000 admissions recorded. In addition to the screenings, the event also offered spectators many activities, including storytelling, mini-concerts, raffles, workshops, readings, shows, and three exhibitions for an enriching and entertaining cinematic experience.
