Located in the heart of the Haras in Annecy, Halles Biltoki brings together local traders, artisans and food vendors under one roof. Open since June 2026, the food hall welcomes visitors looking to do some shopping, enjoy lunch or dinner, or simply meet up for a drink. Events and themed evenings are also organised throughout the year.
Les Halles du Haras: A food market in the heart of Annecy
Halles Biltoki is located at 13 Rue de la Paix, within the Haras dโAnnecy, which has been redeveloped following several years of renovation work. The building, with its large glass windows, overlooks the tree-lined park and houses 17 businesses, including food shops and dining stalls, combining the atmosphere of a traditional market with a modern food hall.
Visitors will find a butcher’s shop, a delicatessen, a cheese shop, a bakery and a seafood stall. Among the traders are Tรชte de Lard, specialising in cured meats and charcuterie, Bonjour mon Amour, offering a selection of cheeses, and La Marรฉe Alpine, which sells fish and seafood.
There is also plenty of choice when it comes to dining. Italian food is available at La Piega and La Madone, while Los Primos serves Mexican specialities. Thaiko and Nori offer Asian dishes, and Nolya focuses on Middle Eastern flavours. Meat lovers can head to Flam & Co, which specialises in rotisserie dishes, while Madame Truffe offers a range of truffle-based creations.
For something sweet, L’รฉcrin du Lac by Gaรซl Jacob serves pastries and chocolates. If you fancy a drink with your meal or simply want to stop for a refreshment, the central Biltoki bar is a good place to start. Wine enthusiasts can also visit Vinatis, a dedicated wine shop and bar offering a selection of wines.
Eat in, take away or enjoy the terrace
One of the main advantages of Halles Biltoki is the freedom to put together your own meal. Everyone can order from a different stall, choosing whatever takes their fancy before sitting down together at the same table. This makes it a convenient option for a quick lunch with colleagues, a family meal or an evening out with friends.
Several seating areas are available throughout the food hall. Inside, tables and counters allow visitors to enjoy their meals directly in the market. The Jardin d’hiver, a 300 mยฒ covered space, provides additional seating where you can eat sheltered from the weather. Outside, the Place Gourmande and its terrace offer a pleasant setting overlooking the green surroundings of the Haras when the weather is good.
You can also visit simply to pick up a few groceries or collect a takeaway meal. The traders offer everything from fresh produce to ready-made dishes and deli specialities that you can enjoy at home.
After your visit, you can take a stroll through the Haras park or walk to the charming streets of Annecy’s Old Town.
Themed evenings and events throughout the year
Halles Biltoki regularly hosts events, particularly in the evenings and at weekends. Concerts, brass bands, DJ sets, themed evenings, wine tastings and brunches are among the activities on offer. Some events are linked to major local traditions, such as the Retour des Alpages, when Savoyard specialities and live music create a festive atmosphere.
The food hall can also host private events, including birthday parties, after-work gatherings and group meals.
The programme changes regularly, and some events require advance booking. To find out what’s coming up, you can check the Halles Biltoki events programme.
