Metz Tessy is a town in Haute Savoie in the Rhône Alpes region located 2km north of Annecy. The population of Metz Tessy is about 2500 inhabitants on a total area of 529 hectares at an average altitude of 640 m. The town is part of the Annecy agglomeration community and is close to the communes of Epagny, Pringy, Annecy le Vieux and Meythet. The town was previously called Metz, but had to change its name due to problems with postal destinations. The airport of the Annecy agglomeration is also located in this commune.
