Annecy-le-Vieux is a town in Haute Savoie in the Rhone Alps. It is known worldwide thanks to the Paccard bells and is located east of Annecy, stretching over 1700 hectares.
Annecy-le-Vieux boasts 33 hectares of green space on a hilly site stretching between 420 and 1100 meters. 50% of the area is urbanized, 50% is wooded or agricultural.
The 4th largest city in Haute Savoie with more than 20,000 people called the « ancileviens », Annecy-le-Vieux became a very residential suburb of Annecy, less than 3 km from the city center. Some people call it « the sixteenth arrondissement » of Annecy (to refer to the rich arrondissement of Paris).

Many mountains on the east of the city. Numerous marked trails for walking and hiking.
The lake, which is one of the purest in the world, is also one of the largest in France. A major asset of tourism in Annecy !
This river runs through Annecy-le-Vieux for more than 12km. It is possible to swim in July and August (June and September for the more adventurous) and also canoeing or kayaking.
300 hectares to the east of the town where walking and hiking are very enjoyable.
Facilities and clubs
If you want to practice or learn a sport, Annecy-le-vieux is the ideal place for this. Many clubs exist, fields and gymnasiums too, and you can also do a lot of sports : rugby, sailing, soccer, tennis or even rowing and baseball.
