Gaillard is a little town of Haute Savoie in the south west of Annemasse and is included in the suburb of Saint Julien en Genevois.
This town covers more than 400 hectares to an altitude of 400 meters and is located on the border between France and Switzerland.
The inhabitants, currently more than 11,000, are called « gaillardins » and « gaillardines ». Many people in this town are cross-border commuters and work in Switzerland.
Two rivers, the Arve and the Foron, run through Gaillard and it is located 45km from Annecy, 34km from Thonon and 3km from Geneva.
