Monuments and tourist attractions or historical
This church is the oldest in the Haute-Savoie recorded in 1986 as a historic monument and is located at the top of town opposite the school.
It was built in the eleventh century and its original architecture is essentially completely preserved. It is dedicated to the visitation of the Virgin.
Quintal’s caves consist of two cavities in the Semnoz.
Warning this is not the caves of Lascaux, either! The caves are located down the « route de Sainte Catherine », behind the church after the path of the boulder.
In the village of Quintal, there is also the chapel of Vernettes. She was blessed by the missionary Lavorel on July 2nd, 1851.
The bell was given a 20-pound bell, manufactured by Nicolas Beauquis, smelter in Quintal.
The cross is crowned with a Christian cross of Quintal. People went there in procession in the late 16th century, on Palm Sunday for the blessing of boxwood.
Very recently it is surrounded by the subdivision « du château ».
