Duingt, a small village in Haute-Savoie with a population of 939, covers an area of 435 hectares and lies at an altitude of 452 metres. The village is located 12 km south of Annecy and 32 km from Albertville.This commune, named Duginum in the 12th century, then Duing-Dhérée in the 18th century, means in Latin a fortified mound. It has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as evidenced by the piles found on the site, now covered by the water of Lake Annecy and known as palafittic sites.
Tourist sites and monuments

Parking in Duingt
Parking is free in the village: large car park on the church square, car park of the colony opposite Les Près Bernard and next to the shops. During the summer, a temporary car park is open at the roundabout at the entrance to Duingt coming from Annecy. The car parks at the entrance to the village, at the tunnel and at the exit (Lamouille car park) towards Doussard, are reserved for local residents. The car park opposite the colony offers the possibility of car pooling.
