Montrottier’s Castle

Montrottier’s Castle is a medieval castle of the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries. It is in Lovagny, located a few miles from Annecy. This castle, which marked the history of our department also with its collections of Léon Mares.

It is possible to visit every year from June 15th to September 15th to 2:00 pm to 6pm with a guide to the collections continued throughout the afternoon. It’s easy to join a tour without the fear of not being able to visit everything.

The castle of Montrottier is perched at the entrance of the village from Chavanod overlooking the Gorges du Fier.
