Cuvat is a small village located 12 km northwest of Annecy, next to Charvonnex, Sillingy, Pringy. The village benefits from a very good location with its rural charm, while remaining close to the town and major roads.
Geographical location
Cuvat is part of the community of communes of Cruseilles and the canton ofAnnecy-le-Vieux. With a surface area of 472 hectares and a population of 1,213, Cuvat is at an altitude of approximately 650 metres. The inhabitants of Cuvat are mainly people who work near the Annecy or Geneva conurbation. Shops and businesses in Cuvat are few and far between, but they still have a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.

Walks and sports facilities
The Agorespace is an area for young people to play volleyball, handball, football, basketball and to rollerblade or skate. A playground for young children is adjacent to this area. A kiosk provides a place to meet and take shelter from the heat or rain.
Four petanque courts are available to the residents. Games are played mainly on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 2pm.

The Chemin du Marais de l’Eau Cachée
You will follow a pleasant gravel path behind the Cuvat multi-purpose hall. The start is from the library car park.
This short 15 minute walk allows you to walk along the pond of Cuvat and to take advantage of the benches installed to take a break.
The Forgotten Path

You must stay in the fir forest. Then follow the road between Cuvat and Saint-Martin-Bellevue.
At the end of this road, you will discover the forgotten path and will appreciate its preserved nature. Then follow the road back to the village, taking the left-hand side of the bus shelter.
The Chemin du bois de la Cure
Go to the end of the Chemin du Marais and turn left following the blue arrow. Further on, a sign will show you the direction to follow to enter the forest. The Cure wood belongs to the town hall. You will discover a beautiful panorama of Lake Annecy. The return journey is via the Chemin du Marais. It takes 40 minutes to walk the 2 km, no particular difficulties with just a small climb.
